Do you make a custom or bespoke cakes?

Are your cakes handmade?

Yes, all our cakes, cupcakes, cookies, and brownies are handmade.

Our crew takes great pride in the work and effort they put into each and every cake, from the beginning of the baking process to the conclusion of the decorating process.

Are your cakes freshly made?

Yes, all our cakes are made fresh in order to provide our customers with the best and tastiest experience possible.

What’s the best way to slice my cake?

If you have ordered a simple Cake, we would suggest cutting a triangular cake slice like you would any other cake then slice it on its side and serve. This technique also works for tall cakes. Alternatively, you could cut the cake into strips and portion each strip for easy sharing.

For a tiered or wedding cake, we would advise you to separate the tiers, cut a circle in the bottom layer then slice.

How should I transport my cake?

All cupcakes are placed in a special cardboard delivery box. You simply need to keep the box flat during transportation.

How long will my cake last?

Your cake will be at peak freshness when delivered. We would advise you to enjoy it as soon as you receive it. If you plan on keeping it for more than 24 hours, please store it in a cold, dry area, and make sure to consume it within three days after the delivery or pickup date. If the cake is not going to be eaten within a few hours of being collected or delivered, please place it in the refrigerator and take it out between three and four hours before it is going to be served so that the sponge can soften.

How should I transport my cupcakes, brownies and cookies?

All cupcakes are placed in a special cardboard delivery box. You simply need to keep the box flat during transportation.

How do I order?

Once you have found your perfect cake or sweet treat and are ready to order, you will need to:

  1. Select the cake you want to purchase
  2. Choose the size, sponge flavour and filling flavour
  3. Enter the message you wish be written on the cake (optional)
  4. Click on ‘Add to cake box’
  5. Select accessories and decoration to add to your cake (optional) or click on ‘ship to checkout’.
  6. Once you have added the cake(s) and/or treats you want to purchase, click on ‘checkout’.
  7. Enter your postcode.
  8. Select the date for delivery or collection.
  9. Enter your details.
  10. Register or sign in your Cakes & Bakes account.
  11. Enter your payment details and validate your order.

How much notice do I need to give to place an order?

Orders must be placed by 3pm, the day before delivery or collection. However there are some restrictions and this is subject to our bakery capacity. During busy periods, next day deliveries might become unavailable.

Please note that some of our cakes are not available for same day or next day delivery.

When should I order?

We can deliver our cakes anywhere in London and inside the M25, 7 days a week and we offer next day delivery if ordered by 3pm the day before.

Additionally, you can place your order up to three months in advance.

We understand that it is not always possible to place an order in advance, which is why we offer next day delivery. However, it is always better to place your purchase as early as possible.

You can choose the day you wish to receive your order at checkout.

However it is not always possible for us to offer next day delivery, particularly during the busier holiday seasons when there is increased demand.

How can I cancel my order?

Orders placed for next day delivery should be cancelled within 30 minutes.

Please be aware that once your order has been processed and you have received tracking information, we are unable to make any changes to it and you will need to place a new order if you want the same item.

Can I amend my order?

If you decide to change your order, we will require 48 hours’ notice. If you decide to change your same day/next day delivery order, you will need to notify us via email at hello@cakesandbakes.co.uk or give us a call at 020 3475 9909 or 07915 759909.

Can I order over the phone?

Yes, you can order over the phone. Give us a ring at 020 3475 9909 or 07915 759909 and we will walk you through the process.

Can I add a message to my cake?

Yes, you can add a little message with a maximum character limit of 40 on your cake.

Can I add a message to my cake?

If you have forgotten to add your message, please email us 2 days a before the delivery is due (or within 30 minutes for same day/ next day deliveries) and we will sort the issue out for you.

Will the price of my order be mentioned at delivery?

Each and every one of your orders will be packaged with packing slips, but these will not include the costs of the item(s) that you have purchased. Only your information as the sender is included in our orders; there is no mention of prices anywhere so you can make sure the recipient will not hear about money.

Why is my postcode getting refused?

In order to accept your order we need to check if you are within delivery distance. Unfortunately, we will not be able to deliver if you are outside of London and the M25. If you really wish to enjoy some of our treats, you can always opt for a collection instead.

I have not received any confirmation email. Is this normal?

It's possible that your email has been delayed or has been placed in your spam folder. After an hour, if your email has not arrived, please contact us via email at hello@cakesandbakes.co.uk or give us a call at 020 3475 9909 or 07915 759909 so that we can investigate the issue.

There is an error on my order confirmation

If you think something is wrong with your order, please notify us via email at hello@cakesandbakes.co.uk or give us a call at 020 3475 9909 or 07915 759909 as soon as possible.

My order is a surprise for someone

We love a good surprise. But if you are getting the cake directly delivered to the recipient, we would recommend letting them know that they will be receiving something special.

In the event that delivery is unsuccessful, and the address is located in London or within the M25, the cake will come back to us and we will try to deliver it again the following day. We will make two delivery attempts at no additional cost to you. In the event that the delivery is unsuccessful despite the second attempt being made, the delivery will need to be reorganised and paid for again.

Please be advised that all our treats are fresh goods and that if they pass their expiration date, they will be disposed of. Unfortunately, we are unable to arrange redelivery by a specific time or on a specific day. The delivery time slots will be those that were selected at the time the order was placed.

Can I provide an international contact phone number at checkout?

Please be aware that we are unable to reach numbers that are not located in the United Kingdom. If the contact number that you supply is not located in the United Kingdom, we may not be able to get in touch with you if something goes wrong.

Can I place a last-minute order?

We offer same day delivery on some of our cakes so if you find yourself in a cake emergency, we will be able to help!

Can I order on behalf of my company?

Do you offer a delivery service?

Yes, we do deliver within the M25 and in London. Please be aware that our delivery schedules and dates are subject to change in times of the high volume of orders (such as winter holidays).

What happens if I miss the delivery?

If you are not going to be home to accept the delivery of your package, we will try to get in touch with you to get your permission to leave it at a nearby location or with a neighbour. In the event that we are unable to get in touch with you, the order will be returned to our bakery. After that, one of our Cake specialists will get in touch with you to make arrangements for the order to be re-delivered at an additional cost, or if you prefer, you can make arrangements to pick it up from one of our stores instead.

Can I get my order delivered to a venue/restaurant/address that is not mine?

If you wish to have your cake delivered to an address that isn't yours, or if someone other than you will be receiving the cake, please make sure that the person receiving the delivery is aware that they will be receiving a delivery within the time range that you have specified.

Please let us know by phone or email if there are any particular delivery instructions or other points of contact that we need to be aware of. Do you offer next day delivery?

We do offer next day delivery for orders placed by 3pm the day before. However, we might not be able to offer this service during very busy periods such as winter holiday or easter.

Can all your products be delivered?

Yes! All our cakes and cupcakes. Our cake slices can also be delivered if ordered in bulk. We have a minimum order requirement of £21.99, any orders under this value will be eligible for collection only. Our brownies and cookies are available for collection in store.

Do you offer midnight delivery?

Yes! We offer midnight delivery so you can be the first one to celebrate your loved one’s big day!

Please be aware that these are our standard rates for small packages; cakes with multiple tiers and wedding cakes are subject to additional fees or different shipping times, which will be displayed to you during the checkout process depending on the size of the cake and the location of the recipient.

Order Collection

Can I collect my order?

Yes you can! Please indicate the location of the shop where you would like to collect your order at checkout. After that, you will be able to select the date and time that best suits your needs. Please note that the timeframes may differ between stores due to the varying opening hours of each location.

Do I need to bring anything to collect my order?

When picking up your order, you will be required to show your order confirmation, which can be shown on your mobile phone or on a printed copy. We will also request to see proof of ID as well as signature to prove receipt/collection of your order .

 If you are sending someone else to pick up the order on your behalf, you will need to make sure that this person has a copy of the confirmation email as well as a proof of ID in the name of the person who placed the order.

Why do I need to show my order confirmation or provide proof of ID when collecting my order?

We ask to see proof of ID or the order confirmation to avoid any mix ups or theft. We also require a signature to prove receipt/collection of your order .

Do you offer dairy-free cakes?

Yes we do! You find them in our Vegan Cakes section.

Please note: Our dairy-free cakes are prepared in facilities handling milk so we cannot guarantee the absence of traces of dairy in our products.

Do you offer egg-free cakes?

Yes we do! A lot of our cakes can be made using egg-free sponge. You can choose egg-free sponge before checkout. We also offer a wide range of Vegan Cakes.

Please note: Our egg-free cakes are prepared in facilities handling eggs so we cannot guarantee the absence of traces of egg in our products.

Are your products suitable for pregnant people?

If you are pregnant, you are welcome to consume any of our goods without worry.

We never use anything that hasn't been pasteurised, and of course every single one of our delicious treats are baked fresh daily. In addition, none of our products include any alcohol.

Are your products suitable for vegetarians?

Yes. All of our products are vegetarian friendly.

Please note that our rock road contains Halal beef gelatine in the marshmallows and other marshmallow products may also contain this.

Are your cakes Halal?

Yes. All of our cakes are vegetarian friendly and we do not use alcohol in any of our products.

Are your products suitable for vegans?

Not all of our products are suitable for vegan. However, we offer a wide range of Vegan Cakes.

And we might even have some more vegan goodies coming soon!

Do you offer gluten-free treats?

No, we do not offer gluten free treats yet.

I have received the wrong treat/my treat is damaged

We are truly sorry to hear that you have received damaged or inaccurate goods. We want to be able to quickly resolve this issue for you, so if you could please send us photographs depicting the items that have been delivered as well as photographs of any labelling that may be on the box, including any labels that may be on the underside of the box, we would greatly appreciate it.

VAT invoices

In the event that you want a VAT invoice, you can use your email as your VAT receipt. You can also obtain a copy of the VAT invoice by clicking the "Submit a request" button at the top of this form. Then, select "VAT Invoice Required" as the reason you are contacting us, and provide us with your Order Number. If you have already emailed us, don't worry—we will send your invoice to you as soon as we can!
